Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the Roswell Invaders (13-9) outscored the Las Vegas Train Robbers (8-13) 14-11.

The teams totaled 32 hits in the game.

Jim Smith racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Roswell Invaders. He homered in the third innings, singled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the eighth innings.

Steven Taft had two extra-base hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He doubled in the third and sixth innings and singled in the ninth innings.

Shane Simpkins recorded his first win of the year for the Roswell Invaders. He allowed one run over 3 2/3 innings. Simpkins struck out four, walked two and gave up two hits.

Mustafa Hamed was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.

The Roswell Invaders hammered the Las Vegas Train Robbers pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 16 hits, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
