A walk-off single from Brian Smith brought home the winning run for the Alpine Cowboys (24-19) in a 5-4 victory over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (24-19) in 10 innings at Kokernot Field on Thursday.

Smith had a hot bat for the Alpine Cowboys. Smith went 1-2. He singled in the second, eighth, and tenth innings.

Even in defeat, Eddie Medina played well for the Las Vegas Train Robbers.

It was a good day at the plate for the Las Vegas Train Robbers Medina. Medina went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the third and fourth innings.

Medina allowed three earned runs, seven hits and four walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Derrick Fox led the Alpine Cowboys offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He singled in the first, fifth, and ninth innings.
