7/21/2013-After three consecutive days of rain in Northern New Mexico/Southern Colorado the Las Vegas Train Robbers and Trinidad Triggers will finally play a doubleheader for their playoff series. The game will be played at New Mexico Highlands where they have a fieldturf infield. It will mark the first time in Pecos League History a game is played on artificial turf.
After numerous rainouts and attempts to play the games in Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, Raton and Trinidad, New Mexico Highlands was the only option. Mayor Ortiz and New Mexico Highlands came through when the Pecos League needed support. This is the second time Highlands has reached out to the Pecos League this season.
